Telephone 01629 56267 The Claire Dobinson School of Dancing offers classes five days a week from the Ballroom of the Whitworth Centre, Darley Dale. Classes are available in Tap, Ballet, Modern, Acrobatics and Contemporary Dance. Children are invited to try the nursery ballet classes from two and half years of age and classes are available to professional level. Claire is a Fellow of the National Association of Teachers of Dancing and a Contemporary Dance Examiner for this board. All classes are taught by fully qualified teachers in a welcoming, friendly environment. Children and students are invited to dance purely for enjoyment, to study to gain qualifications or to train with a view to working professionally in the world of dance ; there are classes for all levels of ability and aspiration. The school holds regular examination sessions and is an Associated School of the New English Contemporary Ballet. Many students are current associates of Ballet Schools and professional companies, with former students graduating from universities and performers colleges.
